Due to its location off Tioga Road and the ability to choose your path up the granite face, Lembert Dome is a good option to get away from the crowds. If you couldn’t get Half Dome permits or if you don’t want to hike in line with hundreds of other people, this is a great alternative. This short but not trivial hike is a great precursor to Half Dome.
